The Incredible Effectiveness of Social Marketing by TJ Philpott
Social marketing has evolved into a VERY influential type medium whose effects are felt both on and off the internet today. From our recent presidential election, to the public opinion of the California Octuplets' mom, social media has had a significant impact.
Spawned from the growing popularity of 'all things web 2.0' social network sites are popping up all over the internet. With little surprise it hasn't taken online marketers' long to see the potential for generating 'free traffic' from these sites for their business. If fact if you market anything online and haven't included social network marketing into your online business strategies you're 'behind the times' and missing out.
Effectively speaking social network marketing can be considered an online form of 'word of mouth' advertising! These online communities whose intent are to be gathering locations for social interaction are the perfect environment to 'casually' mention a new business or product.
These unstructured environments are perfect for any internet user who doesn't want to deal with the regimentation associated with many onsite locations.
Undoubtedly both social network and social media sites offer the potential to put your viral marketing efforts on steroids. Imagine the impact these sites can have on your business when used correctly?
Imagine NOT having to create a 'free giveaway' product to gain the viral marketing effects that are so beneficial to any online business? By just visiting and participating at any social network site or perhaps posting photos or videos at a social media location you can gain the same benefits. Does it bother you there would be little 'work' involved also? Let's have a look at just a few of the countless social sites found on the internet with a quick synopsis of how they work:
• Digg
This online community is based upon the popularity of news articles. If members like an article it will hit the 'front page' of Digg. When this occurs the potential for thousands of visitors exist to view the article. If you can tailor your article to the apparent likes of this community and rank highly there is the possibility of a landslide of visitors to your site.
• Delicious This social bookmarking site allows you to store your 'favorites' at their site. By viewing the favorites of other members you can better determine their reading interest. With this information you can organize a more effective marketing approach suitable to their likes or perhaps determine they're not a candidate for what you have to offer.
• You Tube
This site uses short videos and viral marketing to the max. There must be something to it since even the Pope can be found here! By simply posting a short video of interest due to its humor or sensationalism you can generate significant traffic for your cause.
• LinkedIn
This online community focuses on working professionals. Like many other online communities you can locate categories or niches within the site that better relates to your field of interest or experience. The ability to offer services or products to like minded professionals allows you to target an audience with a pre-determined interest in what you may have to offer.
Ah yes no doubt I've left out one of your favorite sites but wait! I may just include it with the following 'all encompassing' sentence. Just 'Google' web 2.0 sites and then sit back and see if your favorite can be found.
Harnessing the unlimited potential of social marketing is not difficult. Heck even a caveman can do it! By simply 'socializing' at few of these online communities and casually mentioning your business, product, or cause would be all it takes. Your results likely would be a significant surge of free traffic to your site!

101 on Blogging for Traffic
101 on Blogging for Traffic by Latoywri
I've crossed the $100k mark, after only a year and a half of serious online work, and the DP community has helped me to do it. Now I want to give back by providing all of you with the method. I believe that this won't hurt my business, as there are more than enough niches out there for all of us.
1 - Create an obscure subdomain of a site you already own (no need to spend money). Make the name very hard to guess (like "gghhsstrte33vcvcst16.yourdomain.com"
2 - Create a robots.txt to prevent the secret domain from being indexed by any search engines.
3- Get a PLR article pack, with at least 1000 articles spread across 10 or more niches.
4- Get a PLR Spinner app (Google it, they all do the same thing really) and spin them all.
5- Install Wordpress on your secret site (mentioned in step 1)
6- Create categories for all of your niches
7- Add the spun articles to each category
8- create 10 subdomains (one for each niche) and name them for that niche. (i.e. Book-lovers.yourdomain.com, Car-enthusiast-blog.yourdomain.com)
9- Install Wordpress on all of these and customize them as you see fit.
10- Install the FeedWordPress plugin to each, and set it to grab only 1 article at a time, once per day, and to link the posts to the local site (not the source site)
11- Install the WP-Autotagger plugin to each
12- Install any signature plugin (to add a backlink to your blog within each post) and set it to add the signature by default
13- Add your niche blogs to all major search engines
14- Pay a small fee to add your niche blogs to at leas 1 PR4 directory each
15- Find a copy of RSSAnnouncer to add your niche blog RSS feeds to the major RSS directories
16- Monetize your niche blogs (Adsense, Kontera, etc)
17- install a keyword context link plugin (to link certain keywords automatically to affiliate sites of your choice)
18- Get headshots of attractive people from any royalty-free source
19- Setup a twitter account for each blog and add one of the headshots obtained in step 18 to each
20- Install the twitter plugin to each blog and set it to update the twitter account associated to the niche blog
21- Sit back and watch the money flow in.
22- Every couple of months add more PLR articles to the appropriate categories of your hidden blog.
23- Every month log into each twitter account and follow at least 100 new people (there will probably be an application available within the next year to do this automatically)
I hope this helps all of you make lots of money with blogs. As I said, there are enough niches out there that I feel perfectly comfortable sharing this info.

Affiliate Based Business Strategies and How to Make Them Work for You
Affiliate Based Business Strategies and How to Make Them Work for You
When it comes to online marketing, affiliate based marketing is still gaining in popularity on the Internet. Affiliate based marketing is simply an Internet strategy that enables a business to award an 'affiliate' with financial rewards and compensation when sales are made on behalf of the business with help from the affiliate (driving traffic to a website). It is a group of online businesses that benefit from marketing specific products and services and focus their marketing efforts on those products.
Affiliates typically use multiple strategies and marketing techniques to drive traffic to another website. They may receive compensation when a visitor from their site visits a particular site based on their referral. Or, they may only receive compensation when an actual sale is made. The methods vary by type of product and business.
Affiliate based business can promote the products they sell in a variety of ways:
Affiliates (or website owners) capture visitor/customer information and create a 'list' for future contact and mailing. They send periodic promotions, product updates, newsletters, and special offerings to the people included on their list, typically through email.
Affiliates make special 'one time' offers to demonstrate their product value and strengthen customer relationships. Promotion may come in the form of search engine optimization (SEO) which takes advantage of the search engines and keywords to attract the targeted audience. Some affiliates will go the route of paid search engine marketing in anticipation of receiving leads that are more qualified and site visitors.
Online marketers may use blogging to drive visitors to a particular website and promote affiliate products or services.
Affiliates will use social networks as another source of promoting a particular website and driving desired traffic.
Many marketers will participate in online forums to increase the exposure of their products and the website where products can be purchased.
Most affiliate marketers offer free reports and white papers to entice site visitors to visit a particular site or purchase a specific product.
Affiliate websites require time and attention. They also require a good understanding of advanced business skills that enable a marketer to successfully promote and manage the business. Participating in a training program that offers training on business entrepreneurship and advanced business skills is a good way to leverage the benefits of affiliate based marketing.
Before you become involved in an affiliate based marketing program, make sure you understand how and when you will be compensated. Reputable and supportive training programs will help you understand your options.
